Privacy policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026.

Space Simulator does not have accounts, does not ask for your name or email, and does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

What stays on your device: your language, your progress (rank, streak, planets found, tour score) and, if you use Light-Year Birthday, the month you enter. These are kept in your browser's local storage and never sent to us. Clearing your browser data deletes them.

Treasure hunt counts: when a treasure chest appears for you, or you open or share one, click a sponsor's link or copy its code, your browser sends an anonymous count: which chest, what happened, the date, and the country Cloudflare detects from the connection. No IP address, cookie or personal identifier is stored with it. Sponsors see only totals. If you claim a prize code, the site stores the random code, its chest and the date so the sponsor can check it once; it is not linked to you, and your browser keeps your own copy.

Outside services your browser contacts: the site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes basic technical data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the pages. Fonts load from Google Fonts. Planet Hunter downloads public TESS data from NASA's MAST archive on Amazon Web Services and from ExoFOP at Caltech. Each of these services has its own privacy policy.

If you email us, we use your message only to answer it.
